Archives & Library
The Archives and Library of the Museum contain genealogical information on thousands of families in the region. Consult the “Index of Families” at the Museum to know if we have information on families that interest you.
The Museum also has numerous volumes and unpubished manuscripts of Eastern Townships history including family histories, ancestral charts and other documents, and medical reference books, which are all available for study and research. Consult our list of Reference Books and other materials.
The Museum has recently taken over responsibility for the Centre d’archives du Haut-Saint-François of the (now dissolved) Société d’histoire et patrimoine du Haut-Saint-François. These archives will also be available for study and research.

Our Archives include this hand drawn Map of the village of Eaton Corner from 1868. It shows family homes, businesses, physicians, and churches. Many of these houses still exist in Eaton Corner today.
