We are restoring and creating flower, vegetable and herb gardens like those grown in the 1800s. We are partners with the Sawyerville Community Garden (SCJ) which offers workshops and presentations for beginning and experienced gardeners to keep alive sustainable gardening practices crucial to the survival of the early settlers, and to healthy eating today. The Museum will house the local Seed Library of Heritage Seeds for the SCJ. Join our GREEN TEAM to help us plan and maintain our gardens.

We have genealogy information on many local families, as well as volumes of Townships history, individual family histories, ancestral charts and other documents available for study. Even if you don’t find what you’re looking for, you’re sure to discover something fascinating along the way. Access to the Archives & Library and research support are available by appointment.
